Amazon Smartphones Coming in 2014?

There's this article on a Serbian blog that I write for that got me thinking about the cost-effectiveness of having a Amazon smartphone on the market. You can read the full mobile industry analysis here if you can translate it, but I will focus on what I feel is important for this blog - the news that Amazon is interested in making a smartphone! Considering their awesome success with the Kindle Fire tablets I bet that this would be a great investment.
I hate the name, but I think we all get the idea

The Kindle Fire Takes Number 1 Spot! The Fire 2 on its Way!

The Kindle Fire is an amazing tablet! You agree don't you? It really fulfills most of ones needs and is a pleasure to use. Though it is an entry level device it still packs a lot of features you can't get out of those quick start packages vendors are offering. The Kindle Fire 2 has some big shoes to fill and thus the creators are probably working very hard on it. The new device may be called the Inferno as we previously reported and while it is a nice thought, Amazon would make a much better move if they just stuck with the old name.

The Kindle Fire Takes Over the Android Tablet Market!

Great news for the fans! A recent report from the firm Ars technica has shown that the Amazon Kindle Fire had a total of 54% of shares of all the Android tablet sales as of the end of February.  Amazing isn't it? Here we are talking about a new model, yet the previous one seems to be in its prime! A terrific job by Amazon has been done in the way they are marketing the product. In fact, there was a recent sale where the Kindle was available and a stunning price of $139. Samsung and their Galaxy Tab family control only 15% of the market share which means that they can just weep in shame and watch as the Market burns in the Kindle's fire!

Enough of the poetic sentences then, the only fires we want to see burning are the ones at Catcher Technology and Foxconn which will be held responsible for the production of the upcoming device.

Kindle Fire 2 or the Kindle Inferno?

Amazon's Kindle started a real fire, but is the latest one going to be an raging, burning Inferno?! There is still quite some time to go until the official release of the new tablet, but we are still baffled by the name. Sure, we are used to calling it the Kindle Fire 2, but is that really the name? And another question is - does it even matter? We would also like to focus on the Amazon VS Apple battle with this latest research graph:
The new Kindle Fire will give iPad a run for its money...

No matter the name the only thing we as buyers are interested in are the performance and the use of the tablet. That being said, I care about the Kindle Fire's latest specs more than anything. But the name does really leave a huge impact on those who are considering what to buy, doesn't it? Here are the two possibilities:
  • The Kindle Fire 2 -> reminds us of the reliable brand and thus it can get all the owners of the previous one to trade their device in for the newest one. The downside is that those who didn't like the previous one will (in most cases) not even consider this tablet. Another advantage for Amazon is that they don't have to spend money on the branding of a new product and that's always a good thing in this changing economy.

Leaked Information on the Kindle Fire 2! 9 Inch Tablet With Full HD?!

Have you had the chance to read up on the Kindle Fire 2 specs? While you shouldn't take them word for word, they actually give a pretty solid idea of the tablet in general. One interesting thing though is that the new Kindle Fire 2 will come in different sizes and have 3 or 4 different models. You can choose the one you like the best and prices will be different. Some people go for bigger is better, but some will prefer a regular 7 inch display screen.

But there is something you will not get from your 7 inch Kindle Fire 2 and that is the amazing full HD feature that is really stunning! How does a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels sound? Amazing huh? We believe it will be really breath taking with a lot of color depth that we haven't see on too many tablet devices so far. The Kindle Fire 2 will not be such an entry level device ay? It will surpass the previous one and a lot of the owners of the old Kindle Fire will happily trade their old friend in for the newcomer!
We can't wait to see the new elegant design!

Imagine watching movies and browsing pictures on that full HD Kindle Fire 2. Imagine that just for a moment and tell me it doesn't look great. This might seem link plain advertising, but have you used other tablets in the past? No tablet that was released so far will be able to compete with the Kindle Fire 2 display if it really is like the rumors say it is. But there are a few problems with the Fire 2....

Problem 1: Performance and Speed

I love the Amazon kindles, but performance is a serious issue of theirs that they will have to fix very soon on the Kindle Fire 2 if they want to stay competitive. The fact is that Apple's products are faster and operate better when there are a lot of apps running.

The Kindle Fire 2 Cost? The Analysis of the Kindel's Worth

In the early winter of 2011 Amazon threw the Kindle Fire at us and took charge of the tablet market. Apple tablets and Android tablets did their best and had their fair share of the market, but Amazon really dominated for quite some time. However, the times are changing and so is technology and thus Amazon has to step up to the plate with the Kindle Fire 2.

Do We Need a New Kindle Fire?

Maybe you don't need it now, but over some time you will probably want what your current kindle can't give you. After all the first Kindle Fire was considered an entry level device. Its current price is $199 so we can expect the new one will probably be a bit more expensive. However, if you look at the Kindle Fire 2 specs you can really understand why the tablet will be worth a higher price.
Kindle Fire 2 cost at $199? We wish!

But just how much higher will this price be? The kindle is currently in production at Foxconn, the famous super tablet factory. The parts are coming from Catcher Technology and it is pretty clear that this device is really going to be top notch.
