Kindle Fire 2 Update: Amazon staff remains mysterious on the Kindle Fire 2 release

Instead of waiting for Amazon to come forward with some news and such I decided to give a shout out to them instead and ask around about the Kindle Fire 2. I sent an email to some of their staff and workers recently and as you may imagine this did not get me too far. Despite my introduction and evidence that this blog has 3,000 visitors per day who want to see the new Kindle Fire 2 out as fast as possible, they did not produce anything of interest to me or the visitors of this blog, the loyal fans of Amazon's tablet.

Here is an email response from one of the employees that I talked with.

Hello,

Thanks for writing back with this feedback! I'm glad that your are enjoying your Kindle.

I checked and see that we've not released any new Kindle after Kindle Fire was released.

Also, we've made no announcement about a new Kindle, so I'm not able to answer your question.

You can view our Kindle models currently available and discover when we’ve released any new Kindle by following the link below:

Your comments and questions help us continue to improve the service we provide, and we appreciate the time you took to write to us.

Thanks for your interest in Kindle.

I find this disappointing to say the least...

  1. I really can't believe Amazon is making all their customers wait and sweat over the waiting to hear news from them. Over the last few days I have been deciding whether to give up on the Kindle 2 and just give into the Nexus 7. I mean the Nexus 7 can install the Kindle app and Amazon appstore so it can be close to a Kindle Fire. I am sure I am not the only one who is considering this and are about to give up on the Kindle Fire 2.

If you really think about it how much better can the Kindle Fire 2 be? It will be a limited tablet (we already know that its a e-reader mainly), it will have no Google Play store and the Amazon Appstore has limited apps and months late updates, and a lot more.

Every day I have to wait with no news to be heard, it makes me step back further from the Kindle Fire 2 and closer to the Nexus 7.

Currently the only thing that has me waiting is to see if I can get a better price on the Nexus 7 (sale). If I see nothing surprising by Amazon Kindle Fire 2, I will be getting a Nexus 7 before September 30, after the 30th the $25 Google Play gift card will no longer be offered with purchase.

Step it up Amazon, and step it up fast.

    1. I totally agree with you! It is becoming sad and rather disappointing to say the least. There are a lot of new tablets out each week in the past couple of months and all of them are very good It seems Amazon is waiting for something or they have a hard time catching up at the moment...
